1023. Something to Crow About (Finally Reaching P1000!!!)
A recycled rooster stamp, once "Last of the Favorite Ornaments' planted behind the Charlestown dog park, now finding a new place to roost temporarily for Boxing Day, since its old home became overgrown and not so nice anymore.
Yup, it took us nearly 20 years, but we finally reached our own personal goal of a thousand plants by the end of 2019 and always managed to stay within the range suggested in our early American letterboxing days for each active letterboxer to try to plant at least one box to share with others for every hundred or so that they find. (in our case, it's been more like one plant for every 65 or so finds, although this last big flurry of snowflake planting did feel a bit like "pushing it" the slap-dash gathering-hyped up way we like to joke about those "crazy numbers stampers" doing it! LoL;-) Anyway, hopefully we can now get back to the more traditional, less frenzied type of boxing and planting that we have so enjoyed in the past for whatever time we have left in this hobby that has helped keep us active for so much of the last twenty years! Thanks to all who have contributed to helping keep letterboxing alive and well!
Cheers,
W & P
