1123. What's the Point? - stroll
mystery
1 Aug 2020

Since some parts of the country seem to have a lot more "missing boxes" than others, we have recently taken to carrying a carving tool and a bunch of blank pre-glued "travelin' light" stones with us, just in case we find a box missing in a place that we feel might warrant a quick-carve replacement nearby. "What's the point?", you may ask. "It's just a crappy doodle on a pebble." That's not the point. The point is it's the best we can do right now, it's better than nothing since it might give someone else a chance for an "F" of sorts where they might otherwise have felt "X-ed out", and it gives us another "P"! (And that's good enough for us!;-)

So, if you want to know the point for this particular pebble, just go to the pebbly little inlet at the four-mile one. Find a large tree with a white fish line recycle bin and mossy roots that cross over each other on the pebbly inlet side. Look behind the grass that covers all under a chunky little trap door in the niche just east of where the double root crosses the single one for the small point we were able to make on a very hot but pleasantly breezy day!
