1124. Thomas Cole Grave - stroll
Catskill, NY
1 Aug 2020
Another "travelin' light" on-the-spot cat-scratch pebble stamp placed in a cemetery where another box we had looked for seemed to be missing at the time. Perhaps it will replaced at some point, but meanwhile, just go to the old Catskill Cemetery on the corner of Spring and Thompson, find the grave of the "King" of the Hudson River School and look for a lower westside "Decker" sandwich about 5 steps north : one thin slice of whitish upper crust, two darker slices on the bottom, and a little dark Catskill mountain in between with Cole glued like mayo on back!
