1215. Travelin' light in San Francisco 5/3/22
"Travelin' lights" (the name we gave years ago to little stones with stamps glued on back without any other sort of letterbox container) are literally the last things we happen to think of these days when getting ready for any of our more recent trips, or so it seems! Once we have booked a trip, planned our sight-seeing itineraries and such, and packed as lightly as we possibly can, only then do we seem to remember anymore to look to see if there are any letterboxes within our time and distance framework. If not, often within the very last hour or so before getting ready to fly off to the airport, we might try to hen-scratch a couple of these tiny "mementos" to leave somewhere near our proposed routes (and sometimes we even forget to do that!;-) So, don't expect much at all in the way of carving or placement for these lightweight stamps, just basically meant for something to do while quickly passing through...
Anyway, to see where we left this particular "travelin' light" (at the very last minute after almost forgetting about it all day!;-), just nonchalantly look in the furthest NW corner of the closest NE planter in front of the James Herman Cruise Terminal at pier 27. There are actually six large cement planters here just west of the cruise terminal building, so make sure to check the proper corner if you want to have any chance of seeing where we left this barely legible little stone!
