1255. Westerly's Town Seal at the Old Railroad Station (Driveby, indoors)
Westerly, RI
carved by connecticut croaker
Placed 19 Oct 2025

We originally planted this stamp, carved by connecticut croaker to honor Westerly's reaching 350 years of existence as a town back in 2019, but then retired it shortly after that year was over. It seems, however, that the Artist Cooperative Gallery of Westerly, which has taken over the old railroad station near the corner of Canal Street and Railroad Avenue and is open most days from 11 - 5 except Monday and Tuesday, is happy to continue hosting it! So, to find its current location, simply walk through the front door, then proceed forward and slightly right to the right side of what were once the ticket booths (train tickets now sold only online) There atop the wooden ledge directly in front of those particular ticket window bars is where this letterbox sits in plain sight!
