675. Oh Canada Travelin' Light
Welshpool, NB
Quick stop by the lighthouse on Campobello Island just to leave something behind in Canada at the last minute…
N.B. As many letterboxers probably know by now, after planting well over 500 regular boxes, we have mostly gotten tired of leaving plastic containers out in the natural environment lately, so for the past few years, instead of actual boxes, we sometimes just leave in our wake small stones with stamps glued underneath that we call "travelin' lights". (Don't expect this to be a box!)
After crossing the bridge from Lubec, ME onto Campobello Island,NB, take the first left onto Narrow Road to reach Mulholland Lighthouse . From the "Last Lighthouse Keeper" sign near it, take 12 steps at 60* to the red corner post near the step up to the deck surrounding the red building. Under that red corner post beneath a 3" hemispherical piece of pink stone we tucked a tiny round 1" gray stone with a little lighthouse glued on back - hope it stays put awhile!
