752. Waving through WV
Another WV "travelin' light” over by a lookout near Morgantown, WV
We still haven't heard if anyone found the "Bolting through WV” stone we left on I-70 near Wheeling, WV, so we decided to leave another one as a drive-by just a couple miles south off exit 15 from I-68 near the lovely scenic overlook in Coopers Rock State Forest. Facing the concession stand there at the far end of the parking lot, turn left to see a large fire warning sign carved in stone around 1938. Go behind this large flat upright stone marker and find a mossy green layered rock leaning on another rock to its east near the west stone column pedestal. On the ground in the space between these two rocks under a 3” pointy light-colored rock is where we left a 1-2” pointy gray quartz stone with WV on back.
