755. Grand ILlusions
A short stroll through a south central Illinois sculpture park in Mount Vernon, IL

We really enjoyed this little stroll through the outdoor sculpture park of Cedarhurst Arts Museum on Fairview Avenue in Mt. Vernon, IL as we were passing through on our way west, so we decided to leave a tiny "travelin' light” artless token of our appreciation here just a couple of miles off I-64/57 as well. After passing the chrome bumper Gorilla, Horse and Bull in the Woods to the north, continue looping back to the west side of the pond to find the curved concrete bench between "Big Bang” and "Transparent Hollow Empty Boxes”. Northeast from that bench, about 4' up in the nearby cedar, we left a small 1” brownish granite stone carefully tucked into the cedar knot trying to artistically blend in. (Too bad the tiny IL stamp gorilla-glued on back is not artistic at all, but that's unfortunately all we can now manage.) Anyway, please put the stone back firmly in its nook with the lighter triangle part pointing out to try to keep it safely tucked in. Thanks.
