769. Wanda's Wanda-rings: Wonderland Trail #2
Drive-by just outside a national park entrance near Packwood, WA
Well, what can I say? The Wonderland Trail was one of my all-time favorite short backpacking trips, and I meant to plant the box that Blackvelvetrav of ID created for my first time backpacking it here near the southeast "O” entrance of the national park that the trail mostly loops through, but just couldn't seem to feel comfortable leaving such a large box in such an exposed position and couldn't find any other place nearby that I really liked either. So, instead I planted this tiny "travelin' light” stone to represent my second time around the Wonderland Trail in the opposite direction, and that WT#1 box will just have to wait for future planting! Meanwhile, this little 2” brown triangular "WT2” stone sits waiting under a 4” gray rock nestled in moss at the northwest side trunk base of the large fir growing atop a rock pile at the south end of the large photo-op pull-off just southwest of the "O” gate!
