869. Lima
A short walk along the Malecon between Larcomar and the lighthouse in the Miraflores district south of Lima
Placed: 7 Sep 2019
So glad to finally get back to Lima after our hair-raising adventures around Puno, near lake Titicaca, bumping along off-road in a bus at 14,000' trying to get around blockades and such (among the many reasons our "Puno" stamp never did get planted!), we dropped off this little Lima "travelin' light" as fast as we could! Simply follow the upper oceanview sidewalk from the upscale Larcomar shopping mall past the various sayings about love embedded in the rocks at Parque de Amor. Just after the hang gliding launch area, find where the red brick wall drops down to a low stretch where it loops out slightly toward the ocean. Just where the second higher level of brick wall begins again, look over the wall. In that corner, tucked under a 9" square concrete donut among several lighter colored decoy stones, is where we left a 2" thin squarish dark stone with "Lima" on back!
