936. The Rest of the Random Snowflakes (24) - limited time
Charlestown, RI
Part of a mini flurry of snowflakes carved by connecticut croaker and chicktiechick, now sent over to spend a little time in southern RI before the snows really begin to fly! Please pay special attention to replacing as found each of these graciously loaned snowflakes to make sure that we can get them all back safely to CT in time for Christmas!
We were originally thinking of planting the rest of this snowflake collection in either Arcadia or Burlingame, but with time constraints getting ready for Veterans Day parades, trips south, bad bouts of vertigo and such, we ended up dropping them all onto the Richard Trails system on the west side of route 2 (South County Trail) just a mile or so north from route 1. To find them, simply start counting steps from the map kiosk in the parking lot (room for 4 or 5 cars) and don't worry if the steps don't quite match - it's just an approximation to hopefully keep you going in the right direction for these blue snowflakes in black pouches - and one with logbook in a lock n' lock box - along the double loopy somewhat figure-8-ish blue-blazed trail!
